I had another ultrasound today (at 14 weeks 3 days). It was a great ultrasound to say the least. The ultrasound tech was so unbelievably nice and very informative. Kyle and I both saw what appeared to be "boy parts", but the ultrasound tech says still too early to tell. Heart rate is running in the 140-150s depending on if the baby is sleeping or jumping around. Baby has long legs (like daddy) and a big belly (like, well...). Placenta placement is high.
I met with the NP after the ultrasound (Kyle was able to come to the ultrasound, but had to miss the appointment to go to work). She said everything looked good. When I met with the doctor on Monday, he was worried about my cervix and my ovaries but both checked out okay. I go back in 3 weeks for some tests that the doctor chose to defer to the second trimester, then I will be scheduled for the "big show". I'm hoping to be able to do it the last week in July, but it will depend on the availability. Here are some shots from today's "photoshoot":
Baby's big belly...
Hi grandmas and grandpas! Baby looks like it is waving, but it the hand quickly went behind the head....I guess getting ready to relax or what I think has been aerobics!
I had a week or so of feeling pretty normal, then I'm back to being nauseated. The doctor upped my dose of Zofran and it seems to be working okay. I'm now getting really bad heartburn lately, but I haven't been eating well lately. :(
**10 Things That I Miss Since Becoming Pregnant:**
1. Coca Cola
2. The ability to hold my pee for extended periods of time
3. Not waking up a zillion times throughout the night because I need to pee or because I'm hot
4. Being able to take certain medications especially Ibuprofen
5. Not being nauseated all the time
6. My favorite jeans that are too tight and cutting off my circulation
7. The occasional alcoholic beverage
8. Eating fish whenever I wanted, especially seared tuna
9. Sleeping on my stomach
10. Our family :)
But NOTE: These are VERY small sacrifices that I am totally willing to make while cooking this beautiful bundle of joy (and after baby is cooked, of course)!
We feel unbelievably blessed and cannot express how much we appreciate all of the support that we've been receiving. We are excited to be traveling back to Louisiana in September. Not sure when we will be back that way because Baby Kelly is due around the time we normally visit, so they are throwing us a baby shower! I'm so super excited and thankful!!!
We hope that everyone is doing well and we look forward to seeing you all soon!
Love,
K&K (and Baby K)

We are getting so excited to see not only you and Kyle in September, but our new grandbaby hopefully in December as well. I'm sorry the morning sickness is horrible, but just know it gets better soon and when Baby Kelly arrives you will forget all. Love all three of you dearly!
